Privacy summary
- No account is required.
- No ads, analytics, tracking SDKs, bank connection, or cloud database are used.
- Tracked renewal data is encrypted in local app storage.
- The developer does not collect, view, sell, rent, or share your tracked payment data.
Information you enter
Names, amounts, currencies, categories, billing cycles, renewal dates, reminders, statuses, optional payment labels, links, and notes are stored locally on your device. They are not sent to EncryptionJWE Games or a SubscriptionMate server.
Local Magic Import and screenshot OCR
When you choose Local Magic Import, CSV or text files, pasted text, and selected screenshots are processed on your device. Screenshot recognition uses on-device OCR. Raw imported content is not saved after suggestions are created, nothing is added automatically, and you must review suggestions before saving subscription metadata. Imported content is not sent to a cloud OCR, AI, bank, or developer server.
Email accounts and notifications
The current production release does not connect to Gmail, Outlook, or any other email account. Renewal reminders use local device notifications rather than server push notifications.
Backup, app lock, and biometrics
Password-protected .rrbackup files are encrypted on your device before you choose where to save or share them. The developer never receives the backup or its password and cannot recover a forgotten password. Optional PIN data is stored using secure device storage; biometric matching is handled by Android, and SubscriptionMate does not receive your biometric data.
Permissions
SubscriptionMate may request notification permission and biometric-related permissions where supported. You select files or screenshots only when you start an import. The app does not request access to email, contacts, location, camera, microphone, SMS, call logs, your photo library, or financial accounts.
Data retention and deletion
You control local data. Delete individual items in the app, use the in-app control to delete all local data, clear the app's storage in Android, or uninstall the app. Delete any encrypted backup file from the location where you chose to save it.
Children, security, and changes
SubscriptionMate is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect their information. No storage method is perfect, so keep your device, backup files, and passwords secure. We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change, using the effective date above.
